Thank you for joining “The Fourth International Summer School on Screw-Theory Based Methods in Robotics”, a.k.a. SummerScrew2013. Your participation is very important to make the SummerScrew2013 even better.
Although the Committee could not commit with your lodging, we got in contact with some hotels and they offered some discount in the current prices for the SummerScrew2013’s participants.
Please, get in contact with any hotel of the list below and choose the right one for your needs. Don’t forget to see the hotel’s photos and to ask information about the features offered to make a better choice.
All those hotels have people prepared to attend in English. The contact can be by e-mail or by phone. Identify yourself as a participant of the SummerScrew2013 or use “Reservation for SummerScrew2013” as the subject of the e-mail.

For your mobility, Florianópolis offers public transportation, but you can also rent a car or use a cab. Our city is well signposted, so, if you choose to rent a car, with a map, you can go from anywhere to anywhere easily.
Almost all services like hotels, restaurants, and bars, they can call for you a cab. Just ask them.
If you would like to use public transportation, you can find some good information about the buses in city hall’s site[1] and in the MobFloripa[2,3].
For Android users, if you want, you could use the “BusMaps Florianópolis” (PT-BR only) in which you can find out the itineraries of each bus, a list of all buses, and the time of arrivals in and departures from all bus terminals of each neighborhood.
For iPhone users, if you want, you could use the “Ônibus”, hosted in http://pt.appszoom.com/, which has all the features of the “BusMaps Florianópolis”, but you can also search the bus for giving initial and final states.
The Committee of the SummerScrew2013 is just recommending the free apps that could help you, and we are not responsible for their use.
